OUR THERAPISTS
There are currently five therapists working from the York Human Givens Wellbeing Centre. We are open five days a week and evening appointments are available. We all have particular areas of interest but we do all work in the same way and our passion is helping our clients to get their lives working again as quickly as possible.
We are always happy to discuss in advance of any paid sessions how and whether we may be able to help.
This is who we are... please click on the link at the end of each profile to go to extended profiles on the Human Givens Institute Therapists' Register.

Jenny Waddington
Jenny grew up in Zimbabwe and has now been living in North Yorkshire for 11 years. She was formerly a secondary school English teacher and then an editor, and finally pursued her long-standing interest in psychotherapy and counselling after encountering the Human Givens approach several years ago. She now runs the Wellbeing Centre with Gail.
Jenny has worked with a wide variety of clients with many differing challenges, including acute and ongoing stress, anxiety and depression, trauma and addiction. She also sees many clients who simply want to manage their lives better and where the emphasis is more on 'life coaching'. She has a real interest in helping people find out what will work best for them, and help them most, in their circumstances, using the creative and practical ideas in the Human Givens Approach. She is convinced that emotional wellbeing comes through discovering your own strengths, managing your responses through learning to keep calm and think clearly, and taking back control so that you can do the things that you need to and that you love.
Jenny has also worked at a local hospice providing bereavement support for several years. She is happy to do home visits in special circumstances.
